You may have heard that the Alexandria School District will be asking our community to vote on an operating levy request this November 5th. If approved by voters, the funding would help maintain the quality education currently offered. If not approved, we will be faced with budget cuts. With any vote it is important to be informed with the facts!
On Thursday, September 19, Julie Critz, District Superintendent, will be sharing information on the “why and what” around the operating levy request to Alexandria Area High School parents. The 30 minute presentation will begin at 5:15 p.m. in B182/183 at Alexandria Area High School. There will be time at the end for questions.
I do hope you will be able to attend as locally supported operating levies are part of how schools are funded. Having the facts will help you in making a decision on this important vote. You can learn more before attending the presentation at https://www.alexschools.org/referendum.
