Voyager staff understand the importance of developing a strong rapport with students, so throughout the year we strive to make connections and attend to the whole child. The Code of Conduct (respect, responsibility, honesty, kindness, and fairness) is reinforced with a positive behavioral support system and includes social-emotional skills instruction.
Our curriculum focuses on preparing students to be successful in an ever-changing world by offering a balanced literacy model of reading and writing instruction that encourages personalized learning, and an Everyday Math curriculum that is aligned with state standards. In addition, teachers provide students with opportunities to develop soft skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
Voyager Elementary (K-5) is situated on 17 acres and includes the William F. Banke Memorial Marsh, a wildlife area that offers students, parents, and staff the opportunity to learn about nature. The building is unique in design and arrangement, with each grade level sharing a common atrium and multi-purpose hallway.
