Each week the Junior Vikings have a speaker or activity for the members. In the past, the group has had speakers on handling venison, carving spearing decoys, water rescue, late season waterfowl safety, conservation officer duties, predator hunting, and habitat and wetland restorations.
The Junior Vikings meet at 7 p.m. the first and third Mondays of every month in the Bemo building located at the Douglas county fairgrounds. Meetings are open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Anyone that is interested is encouraged to attend a meeting to meet the current members.
